Personally, I feel that a lot of fictional writers are not appreciated for their works. Head on to Facebook, you will find many Facebook users that frequently write and upload fictional stories on groups and pages. And these guys simply do it as a hobby!
Are you one who write fictional stories when you are bored, or you just write fictional stories to entertain others?
Well, if you are, today I will teach you how to register and make cool cash by uploading your fictional stories/books on a platform known as Bookney.
Bookney is a Nigerian owned website that was specially made for writers and readers.
Writers are opportuned to post and upload their stories/books on the platform for free.
The writers can decide to sell the book for any price they desire.
And readers are opportuned to buy and read as many fictional and non-fictional books/stories on the platform. Some books on bookney are free. So if you are a lover of stories, you can download the bookney app on Google Playstore and read some fascinating stories.
If you have the intentions of uploading and selling your books on bookney, then read on, because all the necessary steps are about to be listed below.
STEP ONE: The first thing to do is to register your new account on the bookney platform.

After clicking the above link, you will be directed to a page that will give you the following options;
‘Sign In,’ ‘Sign up,’ and ‘Forgotten password?”
Simply click on the ‘sign up’ button. You will then be redirected to another page.
STEP TWO: In this page, you will be asked to fill in your name, phone number(use an active one), Gmail(use an active one too), and your desired password.
You will be asked to fill in your new password, twice. This is to confirm that you chose a password that you can remember.
After filling in every information, click on the tiny “i have read the agreement” box.
Note: It is advisable you read the agreements.
After that, tap on the ‘sign up’ button.
You are now a member of the Bookney club. Yay!!!
You will be directed to a page where you will see;
‘My Books,’ ‘Upload,’ and ‘Account details.’
To upload your story book, click on the ‘Upload’ button. And you will be taken to another new page.
You are now few steps away from publishing your story on the Bookney platform.
This page is known as the “Add new book” page.
STEP THREE: In the “add new book” page you will be asked to fill in information about your book.
First, fill in the name of your book in the ‘title’ box, then move on to the author box and fill in your name.
If you were not the only one that wrote the story/book, then fill in the names of all the people that co-wrote the book.
Like I said earlier, this should be done in the space labeled “author.”
After doing that, click on the box labeled ‘amount,’ then write the amount you desire to sell your book. If you want the book to be free, just input “0.”
After that, in the year labeled “year of publication,” type in the year you wrote the book. For Instance, if you wrote the book last year, then type in ‘2020.’
Then move on to the space tagged; ‘number of pages’
In the ‘number of pages’ box input in the number of pages of your story.
Now, you might be wondering; “How do I get the number of pages of my story?”
Well, it’s easy! To submit your story book on Bookney, it has to be in a PDF format.
So convert it either online(using online pdf converter), or download a PDF converter app.
Then put in your story and convert it into a PDF. With the PDF app, you will be able to view how many pages your story is.
Like I said, easy!
After filling in the number of pages, head on to the next box. This is the ‘Feature’ box.
To feature your book is not free, so just choose ‘No.’ Do not feature my book.
But if you want to get more people to buy your book on the Bookney app, then you can choose to feature it(not free!).
Then choose your book cover from your gallery. You will know move on to the ‘description’ box.
In this space, simply tell a little about what happens in your book. Tease the readers and make the description filled with suspense.
Then move on to the category box. Select your category e.g fiction or non fiction.
After adding the category, move on to the ‘add book preview’ box.
This part is optional though. Not necessary! But if you want to add book preview, simply take out some part of your story, make it a PDF, then input it in the add book preview section.
You are now in the final step.
Move on to the ‘add book’ box, then upload the PDF of your book. Then click on the green ‘submit’ button.
You are all done now! Your book is active on the Bookney platform.
Tell your friends to download the Bookney app on Google play store, and tell them to buy and read your books.
Kindly note that, on Bookney you can withdraw your cash every end of the month.
